June 17 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Register

Event Description

This course explores best practices for zoning with heat pumps, covering both ducted and ductless multi-zone strategies. Participants will learn about common challenges, static pressure issues, system inefficiencies, and real-world solutions to improve performance. A field-monitored case study will provide insight into zoning of a fully communicating ducted heat pump system. Attendees will come away prepared to avoid pitfalls of poorly designed zoning solutions and also ready to impress their residential clients with best in class comfort.

Learning Objectives

  • Define zoning and explain why it’s used for heat pump applications.
  • Describe why energy consumption may increase in some zoned configurations.
  • Understand why fully communicating ducted heat pumps require manufacturer-compatible zoning solutions.
